A Guide to Leveling Up in WoW

Perhaps you’re a newbie or maybe you’re a veteran player who is on a quest to use every type of character there is. Your expertise in the game and your experience in the game do not matter as much because everyone, regardless of seniority would consult a WoW Leveling Guide. Why? Everybody wants to level up as fast as they can and with the constant updates that the game puts the players in, there is always something new to learn and new tricks to master. Everyone is pushed back to the basics and that is why the proliferation of leveling guides has been on the rise.
Some leveling guides will vow that you will attain level 80 within just a few days. Most guides bet that on 7 days, you will find yourself at the top of the pack. While they all promise the same thing, each WoW Leveling Guide has a different approach and a different mechanic on how to go about this.

Of course there are intricacies to the kind of leveling guide that you should go for. Are you looking for an Alliance Leveling Guide or a Horde Leveling Guide?
Do you wish to have daily quests included? Do you want a guide which will teach you how to earn a lot of gold even while you power level? It is because of specifications such as this one that a WoW Leveling Guide may or may not work for you.

Another decision making factor is the degree of knowledge that you have about the game. Most guides include a play by play account of starting from scratch to hacking your way towards level 80.
However, not all players have the patience to deal with the basics all over again. Face it, if you have been playing the game for years, do you really need to know what the races are and what the job classes do?

For a WoW Leveling Guide to be truly effective, first of all, it has to be integrated in the game. Simply reading the contents of a guide is very different from performing the directions in it.

Oftentimes something gets lost in translation between the written copy and the one in your head. For new players who only know a little about WoW, this can be twice as confusing.

Lots of recent guides have modified their guides so that they are integrated into the game for easy understanding. So a player will not find himself alt+tabbing every few minutes and then returning to play for a couple of minutes only to alt+tab back.

You can imagine how exasperating it is for a player to use an old version of a WoW Leveling Guide.

Aside from the map integration, a good guide will also show you legal and legitimate ways to achieve your desired level in the shortest time possible. Some people think they can get away with duping players into paying for their guides that feature illegal ways to achieve your goal. It is a sad fact that some players would still push through with the questionable methods however, when retribution comes, these are the people who cry the hardest. So look for a WoW Leveling Guide that allows you to level up the fastest without tinkering with the natural order of things and bypassing the system.

Not only is there more honor in that method, you can make sure that by the end of the day, all the time you spend leveling will not be taken away from you in the form of the very painful banning of your account.

Warriors – Amazing Tanks and Damage Dealers

November 1st, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

In WoW, the class of Warriors is considered to hold the first place when it comes to the tanking abilities and when it comes to their dps abilities, they also don’t lack. Because a Warrior can fulfill both the role of a great tank or a devastating melee class in PvP and PvE they are usually wanted in groups for dungeons and PvP scenarios. Warriors became even more popular and fun to play when the dual spec became available.

Being a tank with the Protection talent tree all the time is fun for a while but from my own experience it can get quite boring especially if you have been playing for several years. Since a second spec is available, for example Fury or Arms, you are able to feel more relaxed knowing that you can switch from being a tank to a dps Warrior in just a few moments without spending gold on it. Click here to watch the video: Warrior Leveling Guide

With a setup like this you will be able to gather gear for both your tanking build and damage or PvP build. If you posses the adequate gear for certain build, you can switch when needed, in example tank an instance to help your friends, or you can also change to a dps Warrior if you feel like doing some PvP or just grinding. It must be said that the Protection Warriors are favored by many because tanks can be rare on some servers.

As mentioned before, players that would like to play a tank should definitely go for the Protection tree. By placing your talent points on the Protection tree you will definitely build up your char to be a tuff tank. Protection talent build will increase the amount of health of your char, his armor, threat and it will improve his shield abilities.

When it comes to increasing your Warrior’s damage, you will have Fury and Arms talent trees at your hand. Arms is said to be a perfect build for PvP because of many useful attacks and abilities like Mortal Strike – an ability which, when placed on a target, will decrease any healing done. This can have a devastating effect on some combinations in the arena. For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros Guide Review

If you prefer PvE more than PvP and you want to dps with your Warrior, Fury talent tree will need your attention. Some players have complained that Arms Warriors are also better in PvE when compared to the Fury Warriors. However, this is something you need to see for yourself and try out. After all, with the Fury talent build, you will receive several nice attacks and other nice talents and as a Fury Warrior you will be the only class that is able to use two Two Handed Weapons which gives the character a great look!

Through the history and in any mmorpg, Warriors have played an important role while fighting battles. The Warrior class in the World of Warcraft is the only class which can equip all the weapons. When it comes to armor, a Warrior wears plate and when combined with a good use of his shield he will definitely become a strong tank while if he chooses to use two-handers he will be able to achieve massive damage. World of Warcraft Warrior Guide

October 26th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

If you enjoy both combat and being the tank in a group then definitely consider the Warrior class. I’ll introduce some of the unique aspects of the Warrior in the following WoW Warrior guide.

Warrior are not limited to tanking, they happen to be great at other combat as well. Their almost unlimited choice in weapons and armor make them fantastic at Melee DPS. Warriors actually have a larger selection of armor and weapons than any other class.

Read more about the Warrior class in the World of Warcraft Warrior Guide

Let’s start out in the WoW Warrior guide by looking at some of their strengths.

  • Selection of Armor & Weapons: Warriors can wear pretty much any kind of armor including plate armor at level 40. They have an almost unlimited weapons selection. They can dual wield at level 20.
  • High Hit Points
  • DPS to Tank: Warriors can switch mid combat from DPS to Tanking.

Now let’s check out some of their weaknesses and some challenges they face.

  • Gear Dependent: Warriors are really gear dependent, meaning to be effective you’ll need to have the right gear.
  • Threat Reducing: They don’t have any real means of reducing threat
  • Healing: They don’t have healing abilities

Three unique stances define the abilities of the Warrior, and are listed below.

  • Battle Stance: This is the most balanced of the three.
  • Defensive Stance: This one’s particularly good for taking damage.
  • Berserker Stance: This is a completely offensive stance and maximizes damage output.

The following part of the WoW Warrior guide will look at the three types of talent builds; Arms, Fury and Protection and their various talents.

Arms: Talents

  • Deep Wounds: Fantastic for inflicting damage.
  • Taste for Blood, Improved Overpower, and Unrelenting Assault: Particularly good for Melee.
  • Sudden Death: This in combination with Mortal Strike give you the ability to inflict massive wounds on your enemy in just 2 seconds.
  • Trauma: Increases your output.

Fury: Talents

This one’s very gear dependent and shouldn’t be used for group play or raids. It’s great for inflicting quick bursts of damage. Here’re some talents:

  • Cruelty, Armored to the Teeth: This is an essential talent.
  • Enrage: Really good for when leveling and playing solo.
  • Flurry
  • Bloodthirst: If you do play a raid then this will help keep you alive by helping you inflict massive damage and heals quickly.
  • Titans Grip: Wield two handed weapons, Whirlwinds and Slams

The Protection build is particularly good for defensive play. Here are the talents.

  • Incite
  • Warbringer: Makes the Warrior basically unstoppable in PvP.
  • Gag Order: Also good for PvP.

I won’t go into gearing up the Warrior in this WoW Warrior Guide but it’s extremely important to gear up right in order to be effective as a Warrior.

Warriors in WoW

September 17th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Warriors are perhaps the best class to chose if you are just starting out in WoW. This is because they are not too hard to master, and you can certainly keep them alive easier than a Mage. They may be easier than other classes to get to grips with playing well, but Warriors are not boring and have many sides to them, especially if you want to play them to their highest potential.

You can read an article on leveling WoW Warriors here: Warrior Leveling Guide

The Warrior is the Master of warfare in WoW. A well-played and developed Warrior can be almost unstoppable in combat. They are skillful and knowledgeable in the ways of war. They have a true figher’s spirit and can shout out a battle cry to rally the morale of everyone in the group. They are the masters of PvP combat, and particularly in the Arena at the end.

Warriors can wear any armor, therefore making them incredibly difficult to hurt, and they have very high hit points. They can also use any weapon in the game, which is a great benefit. The primary weakness of a Warriors is their lack of healing abilities, which is not good for someone that gets hit so much, so you have to learn First Aid and carry lots of healing potions. Their primary weakness is probably their lack of healing ability, but First Aid and lots of healing potions make up for it. You also need to have a constant supply of gold to pay for armor and weapon repairs on account of fighting so much, so choosing a good profession is important.

Some races make better Warriors than others because of their racial abilities and natural strength. The natural strength of Dwarves and their ability to Stoneskin makes them the perfect Warrior race. resistance to stun and their Blood Fury skill makes Orcs powerful Warriors. While Trolls can berserk and have natural regeneration to heal over time. For a sneakier Warrior play a Night elf who can Shadowmeld and creep up on opponents.

If you would be interested in checking out a good leveling guide for a Warrior, check out my review of one here: Zygor Guide Review

The Warrior’s abilities is based on Rage, which they use to unleash incredible damage-dealing abilities in combat. Warriors build up their Rage when they actually fight. Which is why Warriors are so dangerous in combat, even against multiple opponents - Their Rage builds up as they get hit - so if they get hit more, they just get angrier and more powerful!

There are a few ways to go when building up your Warrior - one is to become a very strong damage dealer. An all out offensive machine that can destroy anything. Or you can go down the route of becoming the perfect tank - a metal covered battle machine that cannot be killed.
