Secrets of Rogue PvP - The Basics of Rogue Strategy

Rogues may be the most hated class in PvP. Why? Because they’re so darn good at taking down opponents, often without their foe even getting a chance to fight back. Still, no class is invulnerable, and understanding your Rogue’s many strengths and few weaknesses will surely make you even more annoying to your player versus player foes. Let’s look at your Rogue’s strengths first.

Rogue PvP Strengths

I’ll say it right out. Rogues are perhaps the most effective and most feared of all PvP classes. Choosing your greatest strength is hard because you have so many of them. If you can learn to execute them properly, your Stunlocks are brutal. Built around a combination of attacks, a well-executed stunlock will leave your opponent helpless, literally standing there in a daze while you slaughter them. Get this right, come up with a good Rogue PvP build, and you’ll be very hard to beat.

Your ability to poison your foes is probably your next greatest strength. Even when your enemies run away, you’ve got options. Use your Crippling Poison to slow them down, and your Mind Numbing Poison to mess up their spell casting. When you put these together with all your Rogue’s other strengths and abilities and it is easy to see why everyone hates you.

Rogue PvP Weaknesses

One big weakness of being a Rogue in large battles is that other players don’t like you very much. Most players have been terminated while left helpless by stunlocks and poison. They will be happy to take you down. This puts a big bullseye on your back, as your opponents will jump at any chance to kill you.

Beyond the fact that everyone hates you, your character’s biggest weakness is the complexity of executing a stunlock. Mess this up, perhaps because a Hunter’s pet is chewing on you, or a Shaman gets an Earthshield up, and you’ll be vulnerable to attack. Beyond that, remember that you have only melee attacks, so if a ranged fighter manages to keep you at a distance, they can tear you up with impunity.

This has been only a quick overview of the PvP Strengths and Weaknesses of your Rogue. While it’s easy to do well in PvP with a Rogue, to become one of the best you’ll need to know more than the basics. You’ll need to have an excellent Rogue PvP build, and a great Rogue strategy. A Roge PvP guide can help you with things like talent builds, Rogue PvP gear selection, specifics of killing each opposing class, and more.

Really understanding your Rogue PvP strengths and weaknesses is a great way to improve your performance. To learn more about this and other PvP techniques in a guide that has helped others generate a 2214 Arena Rating in weeks, just Click Here.

Secrets of Druid PvP

September 1st, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Knowing the PvP combat strengths and weaknesses of your Druid is the most fundamental secret of success in World of Warcraft Player versus Player combat. It’s the foundation on which to build all the sophisticated strategies and tricky tactics that you’ve heard about or maybe even had applied against you. No matter how much fancy stuff you know, you’ll only have limited success if you don’t get the basics right. Here’s a quick look at your Druid’s basic PvP strengths and weaknesses.

Druid PvP Strengths

Believe me, when played well Druids don’t go down easily. Your character’s ability to switch forms protects you from many of the crowd control effects you’ll run into. And their healing and melee fighting abilities stand them in good stead when the action gets up close and personal. This versatility means that your Druid has the ability to respond to whatever situation develops during a PvP battle.

Druid PvP Weaknesses

Unfortunately, this versatility can also be your character’s undoing. You’ll need to adjust your strategy and tactics for each class of opponent you encounter. This requires quick thinking and a good memory for tactics. As a jack of all trades but master of none, your Druid will never be as good at anything as a specialist, so you’ll have to be flexible to defeat them. Druids really have to understand not only their own strengths and weaknesses, but those of each foe so you can fight them effectively.

Now you know the basic strengths and weaknesses of your Druid. While this information is necessary to succeed, it isn’t sufficient. Unfortunately, you’ll need to know a lot more, particularly about each opponent’s weaknesses if you really want to make your character a force on the PvP scene. The fastest and most sensible way to learn what you need to know is to get yourself a professional PvP guide. Such a guide will tell you what you need to know and save you the time and effort you would need to figure all this out on your own.

Warlock PvP Secrets - The Basics

August 16th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Understanding your Warlock’s strengths and weaknesses is the fundamental secret of Warcraft PvP success. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that’s all you need to know, or even close to it. But without a thorough understanding of your character’s strengths and weaknesses in PvP combat, your ultimate success will be limited. Since this is so important, let’s examine your Warlock’s strengths and weaknesses in PvP combat.

Warlock PvP Strengths

I can tell you from personal experience that Warlocks can be a nightmare to go against in Player versus Player. Your character’s greatest strengths are your DoT (Damage over Time) spells, and your ability to Fear your enemies. In plain English, your character’s strength is the way they can cast spells that do damage over time on an opponent, then cause the victim to run around out of control as they die.

A second major strength of your Warlock is the Felhunter. Trained specifically to fight spell casters, these fierce beasts will ruin an opposing caster’s day for sure.

Warlock PvP Weaknesses

Unfortunately for you, your character does also have weaknesses in Player versus Player combat. Mages (and others) can break your Fear spells and counter your Damage over Time attacks. When going up against these annoying vermin, you’ll need to have some direct damage types of spells. You’ll burn up lots of mana fighting these guys, so a spell like Life Tap will prevent you from running out of mana before your foe does. If you run out of mana, you’re dead.

We’ve covered the basic Warlock PvP strengths and weaknesses. This is a great foundation, but you’re going to need to learn a lot more if you really want to dominate PvP. You can eventually gain the information you need yourself, but a quality PvP guide will tell you everything you need to know, including specific instructions for dealing with foes that can counter your primary attacks.

Dominate All Kinds of PvP with this Death Knight Guide

July 31st, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Even if your Death Knight has avoided it in the past, PvP combat is in their future. Wrath of the Lich King has brought a new emphasis to WoW World PvP. The shape of things to come is clear in the new real time PvP battle zone called Lake Wintergrasp. There, the emphasis is on real-time World PvP.

In Lake Wintergrasp you battle on the live server to win points that allow you to buy a wide variety of special items, including the new Heirloom items. These are items that any of the player’s characters in that account from level 1 to 80 and beyond can take advantage of.

Given the popularity of Lake Wintergrasp and the trend toward PvP combat in the gaming industry, there will surely be even more World PvP in the future. So let’s talk about Death Knights and PvP:

With the release of Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK), a new class of character, the Death Knight, is stalking WoW PvP. With an intriguing mix of melee and casting skills, including forbidden magics learned from the fearsome Lich King, the Death Knight brings new opportunities and problems to PvP combat. With its versatility, Death Knight PvP play can range from massive physical attacks like a Warrior, to being a support caster for a party. You can even do some limited healing. The options are many.

A major consideration when you are planning to play a Death Knight in PvP is your talent tree. With three major talent lines, Frost, Blood, and Unholy, your need to be careful to choose talents that support your play style or you will fail to benefit from this class’s unique attributes. Choosing Blood talents will give your character high DPS physical attacks similar to those of a Warrior, while Unholy talents endow your Death Knight with the ability to bring forth diseases and summon help against his foes. Talents in the Frost line nicely complement those in the other two lines, and make Frost/Blood or Frost/Unholy hybrids powerful. Depending on your specific play styles, the right mix of Frost and Unholy talents may well be the best possible Death Knight PvP build. Regardless, knowing your PvP combat style will mightily effect how you build out your Death Knight.

Beyond deciding how to spec out your Death Knight, you need to know how to take on the other player classes, in PvP and how they are likely to take you on. While there’s some useful information available, everything to do with Death Knights is still open to debate. Getting advice from the top PvP players could give you a huge edge in how well you do in PvP combat.

With all these things to consider, it’s no wonder that a Death Knight PvP guide is crucial for your success. Even though Death Knights are relatively new player characters, many of the most experienced WoW PvP players have been quick to test out the Death Knight class, and have much information to share newly-updated PvP Guides. Getting the top guide to playing a Death Knight in PvP combat can save you many hours of trial and error as you learn how to dominate the arena or anywhere there is Player versus Player combat.

Learn how your Death Knight can dominate any Player versus Player situation and score above a 2200 honor rating in as little as 38 days with the PvP Bible. Visit PvP-Bible.info to discover more about this great Death Knight PvP Guide, or get your own copy here.

Why Your Hunter Needs a PvP Guide

July 29th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Even if your Hunter has avoided it in the past, Player versus Player (PvP) combat is in their future. Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) transformed WoW World PvP. There’s now a real time PvP battle zone called Lake Wintergrasp. There, the emphasis is on real-time World PvP. There players go at it on the live server to win points that allow them to buy a wide variety of special items such as the new Heirloom items that any character in their account regardless of that character’s level can take advantage of.

With Lake Wintergrasp’s high popularity, and the increasing amount of PvP combat in other popular games, you’ll surely see more even more PvP in WoW in the future. So let’s talk about Hunters and PvP:

If you want to be a Hunter in PvP combat, it would be helpful to have the instincts of a hunter. That’s because you’re going to need to be able to pick out your next target and understand how it will respond to your attack. You need this knowledge so you can hunt it down and terminate it. You need to understand your own capabilities, your gear, and the tactical situation. Then you need to maneuver into position and terminate your prey with extreme prejudice before it can take you down. In World of Warcraft Player versus Player combat, it’s much the same, except that your prey is another player’s character instead of an animal.

However, in Hunter PvP combat, there are issues that no real-world hunter has to deal with. Understanding the right time to use your Freezing and Frost Traps and essential crowd control devices is one thing. You need to know how to manage the space between you and your opponents so you can hurt them as badly as possible before they get close in each battle. And you must do all this against a foe who is trying just as hard to out-think and out-maneuver you as you are to do the same to him.

If you want to be really successful in Hunter PvP combat, you need to know the strategy and tactics for killing each class of opponent. It’s particularly important to understand how Druids, Warriors, and Rogues are most likely to approach you. You also need to have a strategy for countering quick charges into hand-to-hand combat range by Warriors and Rogues.

You can learn much of what you need to win as a Hunter in PvP simply by spending time in the arena. But from my own personal experience, if you try this you can expect to get crushed and humiliated for a long time. I spent many frustrating hours ranking last or near last in the standings when I tried. Once I started reading a Hunter PvP Guide, I started climbing in the standings rapidly.

Even if you do decide to learn the ins and outs of Hunter PvP combat yourself, you’ll find that a quality PvP Guide will contain strategies and tactics that are not obvious to newer players. In short, a good PvP Guide will save you a big block of time you would otherwise have to spend dying in battle before you become skilled at PvP combat.

Why Your Druid Needs a PvP Guide

July 28th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Player versus Player (PvP) combat is in your Druid’s future, even if you’ve avoided it so far. Wrath of the Lich King has brought a new emphasis to WoW World PvP. The shape of things to come is apparent in the new real time PvP battle zone called Lake Wintergrasp. There, the fact of life is always-on, real-time World PvP.

In Lake Wintergrasp you face off on the live server to gain points you can use to buy a wide variety of special items such as the new Heirloom items. These are items that any of the player’s characters in that account regardless of that character’s level can take advantage of.

With Lake Wintergrasp’s high popularity, and the trend toward PvP combat in the gaming industry, you’ll surely see more even more PvP in WoW in the future. So let’s talk about how your Druid is going to cope with the changes.

Playing a Druid class character in World of Warcraft’s PvP (Player versus Player) combat offers many challenges and thrills, along with a lot of complexity. Druids are very tough to kill in the arena, and can resist many of the magical skills used by the opposition. With their varied abilities, including being able to switch forms, heal, and even tank when necessary, they can play any role in PvP. Unfortunately for you, that very versatility makes your Druid a prime target, and makes Druid PvP play extra exciting.

Because Druids can do so many different things, they have a different ideal strategy for fighting every opposing class. That’s right, the best Druid Player versus Player players apply 9 different strategies, one for each type of opponent they face. And of course, you also need to be able to adapt your Druid’s combat tactics to account for the strengths and weaknesses of your allies. It’s a lot to learn, but there are major advantages to doing so.

Many people believe that Druids are the best class for 2v2 arena play. Some would make a case for the Rogue, but few would argue against the Druid adding more depth and variety to 2-person teams. A well thought-out Druid with solid strategy and tactics can own most any opponent in duels, and lead a high-end 2v2 arena team. These same attributes make Druids great additions to most 3v3 or 5v5 teams.

Knowing your Druids strengths is only half the battle. You need to know how to compensate for its weaknesses if you want to rise to the top of the PvP ranks. You also need to equip your Druid with the right gear to increase your Player versus Player survival rate. Learning everything you need to know to get the very best out of your Druid in PvP takes work, but it is worth the effort. Fortunately, others have gone down this road before you, and captured all they’ve learned using a Druid in PvP Guide books. Choosing the best Druid Guide can save you many hours of trial and error and give you the best chance possible to dominate PvP combat wherever it occurs.

A Look at Wintergrasp World PvP in WoW

July 24th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Before Wrath of the Lich King, World PvP was a pretty straightforward aspect of Warcraft. There were a handful of objectives in Outland that allowed players to do a couple of very simple tasks like retaking Haala or killing their opponents and taking the towers or beacons in Zangarmarsh, Hellfire or Terokkar Forest. The objectives were easy but no one really did them because the reward was minimal and was often zone-wide so everyone got it. There wasn’t any reason to take part if 12 other players did it for you once each hour or two.

But all that changed when WotLK hit and the game started stressing more sophisticated, realtime battles in World PvP with their first real time PvP battle zone in Lake Wintergrasp. The new area had players facing off in classic battles on the live server ( no instancing ) and getting rewarded with points that would let them buy rare and valuable items like the new Heirloom items that may be employed on any personality in the account from level one to 80 and beyond.

In addition to the way in which the game now works on live servers, many players can get without delay concerned to include a slew of different ways that players can use weaknesses of their opponents, use PvP to get into PvE content and then get rewarded with everything from Emblems of Heroism to the rare and valuable Season 5 Gear.

In the end, whilst there are new PvP objectives and World PvP options in Grizzly Hills as well, you are only going to hear about Lake Wintergrasp where Blizzard has put into place options than previously to get players concerned, make sure that the content remains fresh and applicable and to build up a ways in which they can grow their PvP options to fight against other MMOs built wholly on PvP like Warhammer Online.

World PvP is here for good and as the recognition of Lake Wintergrasp dicates, you can anticipate an entire slew of new options in future patches and expansions as the game gets more depth added to real world PvP. Expect that your ability level now will have a big effect on how you perform in the future as well, particularly if you would like to start to get the top rewards and accomplishments.

Modern PvP: Dominate with Your Warrior

July 20th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Even if your Warrior has avoided it in the past, PvP combat is in their future. WotLK has brought a new emphasis to WoW World PvP. There’s now a real time PvP battle zone called Lake Wintergrasp. There, the emphasis is on real-time World PvP. In this new zone, players battle on the live server to win points that allow them to shop for all sorts of special items, including the new Heirloom items. These are items that any character in their account regardless of that character’s level can take advantage of.

Given the popularity of Lake Wintergrasp and the trend toward PvP combat in the gaming industry, there will surely be even more World PvP in the future. So let’s talk about Warriors and PvP:

If you’re new to World of Warcraft, you might think that playing a Warrior in PvP combat is nothing more than hacking apart anything that gets in the way. But playing a Warrior takes a surprising amount of skill and tactics. As you’re about to learn, a top-notch Warrior PvP Guide really improves your chances of success.

As you would imagine, Warriors excel at dealing massive amounts of physical damage to anything they get close to. Surprisingly, the best Warriors are more worried about being hurt by spells than they are about losing a sword fight. The reason for this is simple. Only Paladins and other Warriors can survive in hand to hand combat with a skilled Warrior. But a smart opponent with powerful magic or ranged attacks can make life difficult.

In PvP situations, a Warrior seldom gets many opportunities for such hand to hand combat. You’re more likely to end up trying to chase down spell casters and ranged fighters like Hunters than you are to duel other Warriors. This means strategy and tactics are necessary.

A Warrior’s biggest concern is usually how to get close enough to an opponent to bring sword or axe to bear, and how to stay close enough long enough to kill the target. If you’re not careful, you can easily spend all your time chasing weaker but nimbler characters. To close the gap on the cowards, you will need to understand and effectively use Warrior-specific skills such as Charge to start battles and Intercept to keep the enemy from dancing away once you do get closer. Once close, your Warrior will need to use other skills like Hamstring and Intimidating Shout to keep your quarry close, then load up on rage and hit the opponent as hard as possible.

And while you’re thinking about all this, don’t forget that those damnable casters and ranged fighters will be plinking away at you with their annoying spells and puny arrows. That means you need to be able to use your defensive stances and spell reflects to minimize the harm they do to you, get comfortable with the timing of Intercept and Hamstring, while always being to unload as much damage as possible when you get the chance. A quality Warrior PvP Guide can give you the knowledge you need to master all this without spending hundreds of hours experimenting and practicing.

A quality Warrior PvP Guide will show you how to defeat the other character classes in various situations, where weapons skill and sheer combat power aren’t the deciding factor. It will teach you how to battle against any opponent on your own terms, including those unmanly ranged fighters and robe-wearing spell casters. And it will show you how to properly use your rage and crowd control abilities together to catch and dismember your foes.

In addition, because the best PvP Guide will incorporate the hard-earned wisdom of veteran Warriors, it will contain strategies and tactics that you’re unlikely to discover on your own until you too had spend hundreds of hours reaping mayhem in PvP. It will teach you the key things you need to know, without your having to expend vast amounts of time on trial and error learning.
