Fishing is one of the WoW’s secondary professions, together with cooking and first aid, which is considered as one of the most difficult to level up. Until the BC expansion, there weren’t many players who thought of fishing as useful. Together with the expansion in cooking which brought us many new food recipes useful for raids, fishing finally became more wanted and valued as a secondary profession. Wrath of the Lich King expansion in 2008 brought us also expansion in fishing. With the new achievements in professions, new daily quests and expansion in cooking, fishing has become more popular than ever. Click here for more on fishing: WoW Fishing and Cooking Guide

By doing all of the fishing achievements you will be granted a special title “Salty” which, we can surely say, is quite difficult to get and there aren’t many players with it. In order to get this title you will need to do series of fishing achievements like The Coin Master which has three parts - A Penny For Your Thoughts, Silver in the City and There’s Gold In That There Fountain. It will require you to win a Booty Bay fishing competition, find different fish schools, catch various fishes and many more.

As you can see, fishing is very useful, and it can be quite profitable too. If you decide to level up fishing you don’t need to level up cooking as well, however, these two professions are a perfect match so an advice would be to level them both together.

How can I make money with fishing?

Well, the answer is simple - fish! There are many areas on the map where you can find ideal fishing spots. Selling raw fish is also very profitable and stacks of various fishes are sold on the Auction House in the split of a second. If you have also leveled up cooking try to make high level food and see how making gold with these two professions is easy. There are various foods made from fish that can increase stats of any class, like spell power, spirit, stamina, hit rating, crit rating, haste rating, agility, strength, attack power, etc.

There are also special recipes for food which hunters can use to buff their pets and also recipes for the fish feasts that can buff the whole raid. This special feast is made from different sorts of fish found in Northrend and Northern Spices, which you can get with the cooking dailies found in Dalaran. The Fish Feast is useful because anyone in your group/raid can eat it and receive 80 attack power, 46 spell power and 40 stamina bonus on stats for 1 hour. Fishing is without any doubt one of the most valuable second professions, which, together with cooking, can provide some great bonuses. However, anybody who ever tried or leveled fishing can tell you that leveling of this wonderful profession goes slower than with any other.

In order to level fishing, a player needs to have an adequate fishing pool equipped, plenty of lures which will serve as a fishing skill increase buff and to choose the zone that suits them best for fishing. Apart from that it will go same as it would go in real life - with plenty of patience. You will need to cast the pool in the water and wait for the fish to bite.

If you think it is going way too slow, don’t give up yet. Take your time, and keep in mind that with this profession you shouldn’t be in a rush and that by doing daily quests you will also gain a lot on your skill. Be patient and you’ll see that it will be easier and more fun with the dailies. For a comprehensive guide on all aspects of WoW check out the WoW Ultimate Guide Review

WoW Fishing: 1 to 450 in 10 Hours

October 5th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Fishing is one of the best professions in WoW to learn. You are never lacking food. A decent income from selling (and cooking) fish. Lots of interesting items and mounts that you can only get through fishing. Hunters can use it to feed their pets. And a good social life by the lakes.

If you want to be a master fisherman and get the most fom the profession you should try and level as rapidly as you can. the highest level in Fshing possible is 450. Here is the fastest possible route to 450 in 10 to 15 hours, enjoy:

Start with at least ten levels. Find a hardware store or fishing shop and buy a fishing pole. Now, for the fastest possible route to 450, you need to fish in Northrend. If your character is Horde you want to go to Vengeance Landing and if you are Alliance you want to head to Valgarde.

Just before we get started you can also read this fast-route guide and more here: A Guide to Fishing

Look for the area’s fishing trainer - Alliance characters need to find a man named Byron Welwick who is by the water with an umbrella. If you are Horde go and look for a lady named Angelina Soren, who is at the docks also carrying an umbrella. Ask them to teach you Apprentise Fishing.

Now, begin fishing! You want to fish next to the trainer the whole time. It’s fine to catch anything, it is all good for leveling, even if you catch junk, not fish. Turn to your trainer and get Journeyman Fishing at level 50, and when you hit level 125 get trained up to Expert. At level 200 get them to teach you Artisan Fishing, when you reach 275 train to be a Master and Grand Master Fishing will be yours as soon as you reach level 350!

There is a lot more info on WoW fishing here: Click Here

And you’re all done - that’s the fastest route to Grand Master in Fishing. For the maximum level of 450, just fish some more. You can now use this skill all over Azeroth to catch valuable fish and make yourself a tonne of gold with little effort. It is definitely worth learning cooking too to compliment your fishing skills.

WoW Fishing Profession Guide

World of Warcraft Fishing Guide

Your goal with WoW fishing may be to level fast or to go a little slower and make more gold. No matter how you approach it knowing where to go to do the best fishing is ideal for both leveling and making gold. This World of Warcraft Fishing guide will show you how to level to 225 Artisan.

It’s hard to say how much longer leveling to make gold will take but at a few extra hours. Want to make more gold? Then pick up the Cooking profession because cooked fish earns more gold than raw fish. You can train for both at the same time.

You’ll need to already be a Journeyman to use this WoW Fishing Guide. Check out WoW Fishing Guide to get from Apprentice to Journeyman.

Master WoW fishing: Travel to one of the three oases at The Barrens

In order to progress to Master level you’ll first need to be at 75 as a Journeyman. You’ll catch more fish and less junk at this level. Valuble Deviate Fish is what you want to focus on catching. Until you’ve leveled to 75 skill level use the Shiny Bauble lure. This lure will catch you more fish than junk.

There’re 2 strategies you could use when fishing the Barrens. Your first option is to fish in The Wailing Caverns. Although you will level faster here, only 30% of your catch will consist of valuable fish. Being in Horde territory means Alliance players will want to take advantage of the cover this place offers.

The second strategy will allow you to catch 80% Deviate fish rather than just 30%. As a result you’ll be able to make more gold. For this strategy you need to fish one of the oases. Because you’ll end up moving around a lot, this will take a lot more time to level.

Expert and Artisan Level:

In order to reach Expert level which is 125-150 or Artisan level which is 200-225 you’ll need to find a fishing trainer. You’ll need to leave The Barrens and go to Stranglethorn Vale if you’re an Alliance player. Look for trainer Myizz Luckycatch, in Booty Bay. Head to Durotar if your Horde, and look for the trainer named Lau’tiki on the south coast. You could also use the same trainer as the Alliance one but the one in Durotar may be closer.

Leveling up to Grand Master fishing level is beyond this World of Warcraft fishing guide but there are some good ones out there that include maps to the best fishing spots.
