How To Win With Zerg In SC2

copy PS games

You need more supplies as a Zerg than you do as a Protoss or Terran player. Resource for resource, Zerg troops are just straight-out less powerful than the troops of other races. There is no reason for denying it; Zerg players should simply accept it as a fact and engage in techniques which permit them to get more resources than their opponents.

However, the game is balanced around Zerg being weaker than other factions as the Zerg have cheaper expansions. Since the Hatchery is the structure where you can train units at, expanding is really inexpensive as a Zerg user. The money that other factions would be spending on unit-training structures can be converted into a Hatchery. As a consequence, the strongest Zerg build order is the fast expansion strategy. It is not a shocker that this tactic is one of the principal Starcraft 2 strategies in Starcraft 2.

Of course, things may change as the game develops and after you scrutinize the faction of your opponent. When playing against another Zerg gamer, I typically am partial to go for the thirteen Spawning Pool and 16 Hatchery build. The reason you do this is because you need to be ready to defend yourself if the foe attacks you near the beginning of the game.

Against a Terran player, I actually prefer to make the vespene extractor as my first building, then a Spawning Pool, and then ultimately a Hatchery. By getting early gas, you can make Roaches somewhat rapidly which are great defensive troops. This helps protect you against any early Reaper hostility the Terran gamer might be going after. This is a very tangible threat to the Zerg user who opts for the quick expansion as Queens and Drones cannot defeat Reapers. For more tips, check this Starcraft 2 zerg strategy guide. The single thing that Zerg gamers can get early in the match-up that can stop Reapers are Zerglings with the speed research or Roaches.

When you are playing versus Protoss, you can go for a greedy strategy as the Protoss are slow starters. What you want to do is construct your Hatchery as your first added structure and build your Spawning Pool immediately after that. Even if the foe tries to rush, you ought to possess enough time to train troops and defensive structures before he can attack. Defensive buildings and Queens can kill any early Protoss attacks whereas Roaches are reasonably vunerable to Stalkers.

Zealots are produced too slowly to be good against a fast expansion, so the threat of an early attack is not relevant against Protoss players. Most of the time your expansion will finish before they even know what occured as by the time they discover it the building will be nearly finished. By securing this early expansion, the Zerg player sets herself up for having enough supplies to afford more troops than his foe. This is the only way Zerg gamers can make up for their pricy troops.

Starcraft 2 Computer Tips

December 22nd, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

In the article below, I will be going over some killer tips you can use to beat any Starcraft 2 mission even on the toughest setting. I have revealed three of my favorite strategies below that you can use to beat practically any mission in SC2.

Many players do not realize that they can save their campaign mode missions. You are not restricted to a certain number of saves and you can still unlock all achievements from a save point. Instead of just saving when you have to go away, try saving before going in on offensives or running gauntlets. This way, you can keep trying the same part of the mission repeatedly until you complete it without losing too many units. For more strategies win easy games of Starcraft 2 post. If you load from a previous save point after messing up, you will find that all of the missions become very easy.

Another tactic for beating difficult missions is to remember that you do not have to rush to complete them. Many missions have no time restriction, so there is no penalty for taking as much time as you want to prepare for battle. You have no reason to leave your base early in the game so you have plenty of time to build up your army. If you want to get an easy win, do not worry about attacking the army until you have a huge army.

Even the toughest computer is very easy to beat if you get an absolutely brutal army. It requires little strategy as all that you have to do is sit in your base while you build up a large army. If you like this article, I recommend this starcraft 2 protoss strategy. After massing up a giant army you can then easily walk over the computer player’s paltry amount of forces; no skill required!

To make any mission a complete joke, you need to add some buildings for defense. Unlike normal players, the computer prefers to attack automated defensive structures such as bunkers and missile turrets over fighting actual units. You should be fortifying your bases with automated defensive structures and loading your bunkers with units so that you can fend off any of the computer’s attacks without losing any units. The best part about this is that it helps conserve resources so you can build your army.

Once you unlock better units, you can always add more advanced units and structures to the mix to improve your fortifications. The Science Vessel is a great thing to add to your defensive mix as well as it can repair your SCVs and tanks. Adding healing units makes your defense sustainable regardless of what the computer sends in.

You want to set your defense up so that you never have to expose your normal units to the computer’s attacks. When you move your units out of the base, be sure to leave a few units in the Bunkers just in case the computer surprises you while you are out on the offensive.

Find Out The Truth About StarCraft Strategy Guides

December 18th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Hey, do you want to win more matches in StarCraft 2, climb up the ladder and become a highly ranked Diamond player? If the answer is yes you have probably heard about the amazingly big promises of all the new StarCraft 2 strategy guides that are available on the internet.

As a StarCraft 1 and StarCraft 2 player I wanted to find out if those guides actually hold their promises or if they just want to rip us off. That’s why I actually bought one of those guides and I will tell you what you will truly find inside.

A lot of the guide is about build orders. But there are already build orders on forums and blogs - your thoughts might be: “If I can find this strategy on blogs and forums for free, why should I spend money on a guide?”. That’s what I thought at first, too.

But the problem is, the internet is full of useless junk guides. Everyone can share their ideas - including beginners that think their ideas are the best although they are still in Bronze League. You have to spend a lot of time to find out which guide was actually written by a player with some experience in SC2.

Next problem: The internet is also full of build orders that only worked with the last patch and are not up-to-date anymore so you have to check this, too. Using a strategy guide eliminates this problems by presenting only those few build orders that are actually proven to work and used by pro-gamers to win real matches in real SC Leagues.

Are build orders the only kind of guides in a SC2 strategy guide? No, there’s a lot more information and a lot more strategies for you. Build orders only win you matches in lower levels. In order to win matches against skilled opponents you will need more: You need to think like a pro does.

That’s where things get really interesting. They help you to get a better understanding of the game and the crucial game mechanics. Only by practicing and analyzing the situation in each match you can always make the right decisions in every match.

Here some strategic SC 2 resources I urge you to read: shokz guide, starcraft 2 strategy guide review and joana’s starcraft 2 guide review.

Improve Your Macro Game - Win More StarCraft Matches

December 18th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Do you want to become a better StarCraft 2 player? Great! This article will show you how to use Macromanagement to improve your skill.

First things first: There are three extremely important skills that every player needs: Macro, Micro and APM.

Micro is the ability of a player to give commands to small groups of units and use their special abilities to get the most out of every unit. With a superior micro ability you can beat armies that are way larger than your own army.

APM on the other hand describes your Action Per Minute - the number of times you click with your mouse or press any button. It’s a lot about our attention and your skill to perform the right kind of commands - the more commands you give, the more efficient your army performes.

Macro on the other hand determines your multitasking skill - keeping track of everything at once. It’s not about single units. It’s more about your skill to do multiple things at once.

Imagine you were playing the Zerg: To win the match you have to morph the right units for your current army mix, get enough Drones and Overlords and - of course - conquer new expansions and get the map control. You have to move your army around and also take a look at the opponent’s army. If that wasn’t enough you have to check your supply count and spawn Overlords at the right moment or you will be supply blocked and research upgrades and build the right tech buildings.

You have to be a pro in multitasking to keep track of every task that comes up. Without a good macro skill you can only handle so many problems at the same time. Of course many tasks would never be done this way. On the other hand a good macro will allow you full control over each and every building and unit.

You can improve your macro by watching replays of your own matches and analyse whether or not you constantly inject Larvae and if you ever get supply blocked.

Here are the StarCraft 2 resources I recommend: http://www.starcraft2guidereview.net/shokz-guide-review, starcraft 2 strategy guide review and joana’s starcraft 2 guide review.

December 17th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Starcraft 2 Micro battle may soon become a classic

Here’s a bit of fun for ya!. We’re going to take a whirlwind tour of the top selling games in each Genre. No Starcraft 2 Zerg or World of Warcraft, just some classics!

Let’ go…

Fighting…

Out of all the classic fighting games out there; Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat,  which do you think is the top selling fighting game of all time? That’s right it’s Super Smash Bros Brawl with 9.40m sales.

Puzzle…

Well as there’s no Super Mario Bros Rubiks Cube on the Wii (yet!) there’s only one champion here~) there’s only one winner}~{) there’s only one champion here}~) there’s only one winner}. The lil Tetris’! The original Tetris sold 35m on the GB.

Racing…

There’s a few big players here, but for me it has to be Gran Turismo. It’s gotta be. It must be! Well it isn’t. Nah, you know? It’s Martio Kart, but Mario Kart on the Wii which has sold 24 million copies. Oh well.

Sports…

Ok this is a big one!!! Will it be Fifa, PES, a wrestling game? I’m afraid not, just nintendo again. It’s sold a whopping sixty-seven million games.

Platform…

The classics. The games that kicked off console gaming. Sonic and Tails or Mario and Luigi? Or could it be Tamanian Devil? No, Sonic or Mario? There was only ever going to be one winner I’m afraid. And those Super Mario Brothers win it with 40m copies sold.

First Person Shooter…

Another classic genre full of Duke Nukems and Dooms! Niether of these potential 1st person shoot em up stars are champion here however. Halo Three grabs this with 8m sells.

Role-playing…

Again some massive titles here. Final Fanatasy being the one that springs to my mind. However one against thos guys at Nintendo are ready to spoil the classic games party with a huge 20 million sells for Pokemon Red and blue. No sign of any Starcraft 2 Zerg  yet then!

Third Person-shooter. The best was always was the original. The Playstation maker that become a hollywood pin-up. The original Tomb Raider. It her sister TombRaider II that sold the most, selling 8 million.

Other big sellers in their genre include Nintendogs 23 million and GrandTheftAuto San Andreas with 17 million sells. It’s pretty clear that Nintendo racks up the sales in one off games! And who knows maybe one day we’ll see the big online games such as Starcraft 2 Zerg and WoW up there with these giants.

StarCraft 2 - Zerg Vs Terran Guide For Beginners

December 15th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Hello and welcome to my Starcraft 2 ZvT guide for beginners! During the Beta and shortly after, Zerg players had a really hard time beating a Terran player for a couple of reasons. But they still managed to execute spectacular strategies. Shortly after, Blizzard came out with a patch that nerfed the Terran race. In this guide I will take a quick look at what has changed and then I will tell you how this influenced the StarCraft 2 Zerg vs Terran strategy.

Of course, the first unit we will look at is the Reaper. As you probably know, Reapers used to be very early on the battle field, but that changed with the patch. Now, Reapers take 5 seconds longer than before to produce. Also, Blizzard added a prerequisite to further slow down the Early Reaper. In order to build a Rax, you now have to build your depot first. And the Speed upgrade requires a Factory now.

So, what changed? The Terran will have to invest a lot more time before he can start to attack you with Reapers. That’s why going for the extremely fast expansion at your natural is more than worth the risk.

But do not forget that Terran still can use the Reapers and they are still very strong. If you think nobody will use Reapers anymore, that’s when you can easily fall for the trap. Terrans now attack with more Reapers at a later point of the game. If you don’t build up any defenses they can still take you out!

Probably the best and biggest change in the patch was the increased Roach range. Now, Roaches are actually super effective (Yeah, they used to suck, can you believe that!). The Roach range is now as big as the range of a Hellion. Now, there is no reason to be afraid of Early Hellions anymore - if you scout Early Hellion Harrass, tech Roach and you’re good to go.

The range increase also has huge implications for the StarCraft 2 Zerg vs Protoss strategy. Now, Protoss can no longer hide behind their strong buildings and defeat your units with just Cannons.

I also urge you to change your StarCraft 2 Zerg vs Zerg tactic accordingly and give Roaches a place in your army. They are much stronger now and more versatile than before.

Starcraft 2 Wings Of Liberty - First Impression

December 10th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Starcraft classic got a bit old since 1998 when it was born, it’s being replaced by Starcraft 2. Over the years there have been numerous patches but the graphics remained the same for 12 years, that’s a long time. The new Starcraft 2 has a lot to offer to players. Beautifuly polished graphics need no further improvements, the detail is high and very pleasing. Good advice is to find a good Starcraft 2 strategy guide to get into the hart of the battle right away.

It is worth to invest in good graphic card to be able to play at high resolution to experience all the details and smooth frame rates. Blizzard has made this game future-proof. The current updated version of the game might remain un use for naother 12 years, hope not. One of the reasons is the Battlenet used for online matches~One of the reasons is the Battlenet used for online matches}. Single player mode gudes the player through new developments in Starcraft 2 and prepares for multiplyer mode.

In the first part of the trilogy called Wings of Liberty we start with he Terran race, other parts called Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void will feature Zerg and Protoss. All three races are avaliable in online mode. Hardcore fans will get every part of the trilogy even if they criticise Blizzard for creating 3 parts. Some will still think Starcraft 2 is worth every cent no matter how much you pay for it.

The basics of gameplay have not much changed since first classic release. All there races need gas and minerals to keep the production. There is a number of creatures Zerg can morph into. Protoss use very advanced robots and teleport mode to move their units anywhere on the map. Terrans use advanced technology with their flying buildings and medical units that restore the health.

Not much relies on luck, getting your strategy right is crucial to climb up the stats in multiplayer mode to be matched with stronger players. Both economy and unit development are important. Familiarizing yourself with building orders, micros and macros will give you advantage in any scenario. Although much can be learned from the single player mode, still the fastest way to enjoy the game is learning from good Stacraft 2 guide which explains fighting strategy and building orders.

You will need a lot of practice for online multiplayer mode and your Starcraft 2 strategy should be well developed before facing your adversaries online. Battlenet service used for online playing allows you to build your skills and first 50 games will not count in you r player statistics. Players are matched based on statistics so make sure your game is well developed before you go into player vs player.

To sum up Starcraft 2 is an amazing revival of the classic RTS with amazing graphics and brilliant gameplay. It has been polished to perfection and for the new players the learning curve is quite gentle. Mission after mission new units and buildings are available to continue the learning progress. The game keeps a player engaged at all times. Highly recommended!

StarCraft 2 Guide - Win With Zerg Against Any Race

December 6th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

In StarCraft 2 the Zerg race is extremly versatile and flexible and more nad more players are switching to Zerg. In the past Zerg players had a hard time dealing with Terrand and Protoss, especially in the early game. Fortunately the last patch changed everything and now Zerg have higher chances to survive the easry game.

Now, that did the patch change? How did the StarCraft 2 Zerg vs Terran gameplay changed? The Famous Reaper Rush got a lot less dangerous than before. Additionally you have to build a Depot before building a Barrack now which eliminates a lot of early strategies. That changed the gameplay! The times of Barracks-first strategies are over. In a game against Terran players most Zerg now go for a fast expansion no matter what their opponent is actually doing.

Another big change is the reduced acceleration speed of Medivacs. Therefore Terran must be more careful when making a drop against Zerg since they have a hard time retreating.

Even the StarCraft 2 Zerg vs Protoss match-up has been changed. Most important change: The range upgrade for the Roaches. The new Roach range after the patch is 4. What are the consequences? In the past the Protoss player was able to just turtle, building some Photon Cannons behind his Warpgates.

It’s now possible for the Zerg player to manually approach the structures in the front with Roaches and fire at them without getting too close to the Protoss Cannons.

Additionally the Void Rays got slightly nerfed. When fully charged the Void Ray not deals less damage then before the patch. That’s actually a huge change and makes Void Rays a less dangerous force.

Do you have to change your StarCraft 2 Zerg vs Zerg strategy, too? Actually not. Roaches have become more important, but the same thing counts for your enemy. Since it’s a mirror match both you and your opponent will make the same slight changes in your ZvZ strategies. You should value your Roaches more and maybe go for early roaches more often but remember that your enemy probably does exactly the same thing.

Play Zerg In Starcraft 2

October 8th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Starcraft 2 How To Baneling Burst

Hey Jim Here…

I am going to run through for you a couple of tactics to help you play zerg. The general play and way of thinking for Zerg is different to other races which make them difficult to get used to.

In the match Zergs can attack faster than any other race, so remember this key strength of the Zerg. If you are looking to attack early, 6 Zerglings can be made quicker than 4.

Speed is one of the Zergs strengths, so harass the enemy keeping them pinned in and stopping them from harassing you. Unlike Zerg, Terran and Protoss can block their ramp at the early game. Zerg are not able to block their ramp from the start, so you need to be clever with your other defense.

For more info check out our Starcraft 2 How To Zerg Guide

The best strategy with Zerg is to be aggressive and keep the enemy on the back foot.

Advice/tips for playing Zerg.
- Build Plenty of Drones

- Try to harass constantly

- Use roaches they are very strong

- Use the queens larvae ability all the time

- Be tactical in your engagement

Playing against the other very strong tech races like protoss and terran can be challenging. Try to make sure you don’t let them tech up too much and keep your economy going. If properly used mutas can be deadly and sometimes even win the game.

For even further info then have a look at our Starcraft 2 How To Micro - Zerg

Use banelings to break down their defended ramp, you will need to get inside to harass them. Banelings also work very well against terran infantry as generally terran will use a lot of infantry. Banelings are difficult to defend against, so dont forget to use them.

Effective use of group combinations is crucial, for example Mutas and Hydras. Mutalisks are very strong and should be used to raid and support your main force. They could even be your main force.

Although buildings let them build certain units, the only place you can actually create them is hatcheries, so make sure you get another hatchery when playing Protoss and Terran.

For details about scouting with Zerg then have a look at our Starcraft 2 How To Scout Zerg page

You can try some interesting double hatchery techniques which help to boost your economy early on. Replenishing lost drones is very important, don’t forget or your economy will quickly and suddenly become weakened and can lose you the game. Using the queens larvae ability remember to keep up the drone count, dont let them slowly dwindle.

When you are pumping out your army do not forget to continue to build drones.

I hope you enjoyed this article on how to play zerg, if you have any comments or suggestions then please leave them below.

Jim – Loving the Queen of Blades.
