The WoW Shaman Leveling Guide

If you want to level up your WoW shaman you have probably asked yourself: Which is the best way to level up? The Enhancement build or the Elemental spec?

The answer is easy but must be explained.

First things first: I highly recommend you to use the Enhancement build to level up as long as you are below level sixty. Do not use the Elemental build as long as you are unable to quest in the Outlands.

But why and how? The answer is simple: The Elemental spec turns your shaman into a caster. If you want to use your spells you have to spend mana. If you want to deal damage to your opponents, you need to spend mana. If you want to deal even more damage your only option is to find equipment that boosts your spell damage.

And that’s exactly the problem here. Below level 60 there’s almost no caster gear! You will find gear for spellcasters as soon as you hit level 60 and travel to the Outlands to complete some quests there.

In the old world however there are only a few items that are green and they only increase your intelligence. If you still want those nice blue items you have to either visit instances or be prepared to spend a huge amount of gold in the auction house.

To sum things up: Until you hit level 60 I urge you to go with the Enhancement build. Above level 60 you are free to choose your favorite build.

If you are one of the players who want to enhance their leveling speed even more, check out an in-game leveling guide. For example mages would choose a WoW mage leveling guide. Everything is fine unless you confuse leveling and PvP guides.

Do you like fighting in the arena and want to bash your opponents? In this case looking for a class and talent specific PvP guide is still a great idea. Shamans choose a Shaman PvP guide while Warriors would go for a warrior pvp guide or an even more specialized arms warrior pvp guide.

Which Shaman Build Is Best For Leveling My Shaman?

September 22nd, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Hi and welcome to this WoW guide about the most efficient Shaman build to ding 80 with your WoW Shaman in no time. I think this article really be really helpful for a lot of you guys. After browsing blogs and forums I found this one questions a lot of times: C an you use the Elemental talent build to level quickly or it the Enhancement spec is only way.

From my point of view there’s an obvious answer to this problem: Before you hit level 60 you are more or less forced to play with the Enhancement build to be effective. At level 60 and beyond you have the option to choose between both talent builds as they will now be equally effective and viable for quick leveling.

Why can’t you use the Elemental build to level quickly if you are below level 60? This one is not about talents or abilities or skills. It’s all about the gear. You already know that you need to key factory in order to fly through the levels: The right talent build is important but it’s necessary to build a strong basis with the right stats.

And here’s the problem: Elemental Shamans need spellcaster gear that is more than rare in the old world. You need spellcaster stats: Spell critical hit rating, haste and lots of spell damage. But all this is rare and you will hardly find any useful items except from a few drops in instances.

The only way to get your hands on the few useful items is to visit dungeons and hope the one critical item will drop on the first run. And even with those items you will only level as fast as an Enhancement Shaman but not faster.

But once you are finally able to enter the Outlands everything changes for the better. You will find a lot of great caster equipment immediately - the firsts few quests alone should be enough to completely equip your Elemental Shaman. Once you hit level 60 the Elemental leveling spec becomes at least as efficient as the Enhancement build. Choose which ever talent build suits you: Elemental or Enhancement, they are not equally efficient.

Which Shaman Talents To Pick Depending On The Build

September 21st, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

The Shamans are a hybrid class that can do everything from dealing massive damage within melee range to casting destructive spells, healing buffs and weapon buffs from a distance. They also can use the Reincarnation ability which practically leaves the dreadful corpse run to other classes. But, despite the vast pool of Shaman talents, there’s still one thing that they don’t possess – being the best at any of their talents. Being the jack-of-all-trades that they are, the Shamans can never be as good as other classes in their primary talents although shamans do generally well in almost everything.

So what are the talents that Shamans do exceedingly well at?

{Elemental Shamans}
The DPS caster spec of the Shamans, the elemental shamans harness the elements to send their opponents to their graves. This build is for Shamans who prefer casting ranged spells.

At tier one, you can go either way or both ways. Convection is great for reducing the mana cost of casting chain lightning, lightning bolt, and shock spells. This is recommended if you’re rolling a PvE character. The talent sitting next to it is Concusion which is best for Shamans that want to go deep into the Elemental build. Concussion is the talent that suits any PvP Shaman.

At tier two, you can skip the Earth’s Grasp and Call of Flame and go the Elemental Warding talent. You must realize though that Elemental Warding could be quite useless at higher levels. Still, it comes in handy when warding off elemental forces.

In the succeeding tiers, you must distribute points to both the Call of Thunder and Elemental focus. At the fourth tier, you are best invested on the Eye of the Storm, if you didn’t use the Healing Focus. {Otherwise, skip it}. You can go whichever way at the fifth tier so you can do what you want with the Storm Reach, Elemental Fury, and Unrelenting Storm. All these talents can give your damage a boost. From this point forward, your focus should be on enhancing your ranged spells. After all, that’s where Elemental Shamans perform best.

{Enhancement Shamans}
If you are creating a melee character, the Enhancement Shaman provides all the necessary skills. Regardless of your tier, you should always pick talents that enhance your melee abilities in favor of other talents. A few of the most useful talents in this build are: Ancestral Knowledge for tier 1, Thundering Strike and Improved Lighting Shield at tier 2, and Enhancing Totems at tier 3. At tier 4, you should have the Flurry – never go without this – and for damage mitigation, you can go the Toughness way although this requires you to spread some talent points to Anticipation. From this point on, you should focus on improving your weapons, in reducing the mana cast of your instant cast spells, and basically on maxing up your melee weapons and other melee damage dealers.

{Restoration Shamans}
The Shaman talents in the Restoration build are all focused on creating character that can be great support members to any 5-man team, in terms of healing, that is. There really isn’t much to say about this build expcept that although some of the talents are useful during the initial levels, most of their powers wane at the higher levels. For players who want to roll the healer side of the Shamans, some very helpful Shaman talents include Tidal Focus, totemic focus, healing way, purification, focused mind, Earth shield, and improved chain heal.

Top Three Strategies On Leveling A WoW Shaman

September 1st, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Want to know how to get to level 80 with your WoW Shaman and avoid all the boring frustration that comes with leveling a toon in WoW? Take a look at my Shaman Leveling overview and you will know how to increase your leveling speed and power and have more fun when playing WoW.

Shaman Leveling Tip 1:

Do not even think about choosing the Elemental talent build before you hit at least level 60!! Let me say it again to make it perfectly clear. The Elemental build is not for characters below level 60.

You will not be able to find enough good equipment in the old world to equip your character. If you are thinking about visiting instances to get fine blue caster items… Yes you can do that, but visiting instances will waste more time than you can save with any leveling talent build.

That’s why I highly recommend you to go with the Enhancement leveling spec until you get to level 60 and travel to the outlands. Once you are there you are free to choose whatever build you like, but Enhancement is still a very good build.

Shaman Leveling Tip 2:

Doing quests on your own is the fastest way to level up. If you want to have the best xp/hour rate you have to skip grinding, visiting instances or playing in a party. You want to ding 80 as soon as you can? Get the Enhancement build and start to complete quests on your own.

Shaman Leveling Tip 3:

Click here to get a leveling guide. Those add-ons provide you with the perfect questing path. As I’ve already said, questing is the fastest way to level up. And a perfect questing path is simply the best, fastest, easiest way to complete quests.

The addon will show you exactly where to go, which quest to do and which quest to avoid. Yes, there are quests that intentionally waste your time so you have to play longer, but a leveling guide will eliminate those time-wasters for you!

The Shaman Leveling Helper

July 20th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

If you are looking for some useful tips on leveling your Shaman from level 1-80, then you’re come to the right spot. This guideline about Shaman leveling will boost your leveling speed and make it a lot easier to ding 80 in no time.

When it comes to leveling your Shaman, you have to follow what I call the “3 Golden Rules”. Fast leveling is impossible without them. Play by these rules and you will save hours of your time. But if you don’t you will definitely spend more time and effort on leveing your Shaman.

#1 Golden Rule: You Shall Spec A Proven Leveling Talent Build

When starting your Shaman, you should stick to the most popular and most efficient talent spec: The Enhancement build. There are a lot of advantages: You will be less gear dependant, won’t need much mana and can still deal massive DPS and have a high survivability.

#2 Golden Rule: Thou Shall Get Your Skill Rotarion Dialed

Lots of players don’t have an attack rotation and just spam their abilities randomly.

Up to level 40 I highly recommend you to use this skill rotation:

Start with Lightning Bolt. Then spam auto attacks and Shocks. Use Earth Shock until you get the Fire Shock Skill. Once the fight is over, use Healing Touch to recover your lost health.

When you hit level 40 and can finally dual-wield, you should switch your attack rotation: Pull the mob as usual. When the mob comes into range, use Stormstrike, Fire Shock and finally Lava Lash. Use everyone of the last three skills whenever the cooldown allows.

That will give your Shaman leveling speed a nice boost.

#3 Golden Rule: Thou Shall Not Forget About Glyphs

Never forget to get major Glyphs to boost the Shaman leveling power.

The best Glyphs for Enhancement Shamans are Flame Shock and Windfury Weapons.

When you get to level 40 you can also equip Stormstrike. That’s when you have to choose between the major Glyphs. I suggest you go for the glyph that supports the skill you use the most.
