In case you don’t already know Lips is a computer game released for the Xbox 360 last November and is basically a singing game almost the same as Sony’s Singstar with a few added elements. Of course to have this game you do not need to be able to sing at all although keeping in time to the song does help and the more you can sing, the better the scores.

This is where Lips stands out above the other singing games as it actually detects on your singing. If your bad then well it doesn’t matter as your still get the scores for keeping in time with the song. Although if you are blasting out perfect scores on A-has Take on me you are almost certainly a-ha lf decent singer.

A great benefit to the game is the actual microphones themselves. The great thing is you can actually tap the microphone along with the song to gain an increase in your score as well as making it feel like a more realistic play through. As well as this the game isn’t limited to two players if you just have two microphones as the Xbox 360 controllers can actually be included in the game as by pressing the buttons you get extra sounds and rhythms put into each song.

If you can sing there i no need to stick to a computer game. It is well worth buying a real microphone from a manufacturer like Shure or Behringer as it will help practice your skills. Of course games can only go so far and it may be worth taking it up a notch.

So crank it up and get singing with Lips on Xbox 360. With a new game to go hand in hand with the current game set to be released this fall now is a perfect time to get the original game in preparation for the new one.
