Mario Galaxy 2

There are so many video game franchises out there that it is almost impossible to list them all which is why these ones are the best of the best.

Mario

This has to be at the very top for the gaming franchises simply because so many games have been made around this one character. When players first saw Mario he was know as Jumpman and it was of course from the Donkey Kong arcade game. Since this appearance there have been many games featuring him as the main protagonist of the game and many more featuring him like Smash Bros and the Mario Kart franchises. He is still and always will be at the top.

Mastercheif

Bungie rather stupidly turned away from focusing Halo: ODST on Mastercheif, has anyone else noticed that the game didn't sell too well. Making his debut in 2001 in the game Halo: Combat Evolved, Mastercheif went on to star in two other games Halo 2 and 3 before apparently getting lost in the middle of space. Is it likely that we will ever see the cheif in another Halo game.

Sonic The Hedgehog

1991 is the first time that the strange looking blue hedgehog hit the screens and he was Sega's attempt at rivalling Mario. Sonic has to be the second biggest creation in gaming history of course only being second to Mario, is this why he often appears alongside him. He has appeared with Mario in both the Olympic games and in Smash Bros Brawl. Mario Galaxy 2 is supposed to be the next game Sonic will be making a guest appearance in, we shall see. They would be going a great job of spoiling a Mario game.

The best thing to do before you buy a game is to check out the reviews, this goes for things like toys reviews and gadgets reviews too!

The Winter Olympic Games

November 30th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

2007’s Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games was an undoubted success; it sold amazingly well for the last Olympics and now the 2009 winter Olympics will feature another instalment from the same people who built the last one.

Really, the game is just another version of what has been out before. It is just like the many button bashing games that have been featuring over the last 10 years but instead of seeing Sonic, Mario and Bowser dressed up in gloves, scarves and womens jackets the actual game itself features way more possibilities than ever before as the game itself features new Wii fit technology so you can actually re-enact the movements on screen. This is pretty old hat technology for us really but the game itself has never seen this before which is why game critics from across the board are having a field day over it. What’s more is that the updated winter Olympics events seem to support more imaginative control systems (particularly on the Wii) and this time there is support for the wii balance board in the single player mode. This is excellent news for people who want to get a bit fitter these days and get as much exercise as possible.

This game is no doubt worth a punt at the Christmas number one spot and I am very excited to see what surprises this game has in store for us. I remember in the late 1990’s when the original Sonic game came out on the Mega Drive and it was the best thing to hit the streets. Now we will be able to see a completely revised version of what came around before hand and I cannot wait to see what they come up with. Now we will see a completely revised version of what came out before hand and I cannot wait to see what the end product is!
