Let me welcome you to my mage leveling guide. You want to level a twink 1-80 before the Cataclysm hits Azeroth? Then this articles is exactly what you are searching for. Let me share my 3 golden rules for leveling a World of Warcraft mage with you. Follow these easy rules and you will increase your leveling speed a lot!

Golden Rule 1 – It’s All About Solo Questing

There are many ways to gather experience and level up, as every player knows. You can grind monsters, accept and complete quests and visit instances. You can both play together with other players or on your own.

Of course one of them is far better for gathering experience that all the others. At this moment, completing quests alone, without a party, is the fastest way to level 1-80.

There’s a simple reason for that. Questing is more effective than grinding since Blizzard has adjusted the experience received for quests. And while visiting instances is great for the loot, you will hardly level as fast as when completing quests.

Golden Rule 2 – Frost Mage Leveling Spec

Now, you need and effective talent build if you want to level really fast. The fire tree focuses on single targets and is easy to play. On the other hand, the frost build focuses on Aroe of Effect damage and is the most efficient spec. But if you master it you will be able to kill about 10 mobs or even more at the same time!

Golden Rule 3 – In-Game Leveling Guide

A few WoW players dislike leveling guides and claim they would take the fun out of the game. I have another explanation for their ranting: They had to spend weeks on boring leveling to get to level 80 and don’t want other players to do it in a few days.

Such a leveling guide add-on provides you with information about which quest to do next and where exactly to go. It also tells you the most efficient order to complete all the quests so you will be rewarded with the best xp/hour rate possible.

Leveling A WoW Mages - A Proven Strategy

August 12th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Are you searching for a proven and effective guide that can help you to increase your leveling power? Great! You’ve found the right spot right here. This mage leveling guide will show you how to level your mage 1-80 in a fast and easy way.

Your first step is to choose a race that is perfect for leveling a twink. For example, if you roll a Gnome you will have 5% more mana and the racial ability Escape Artist. That’s an ability to protect yourself against spells and skills that would otherwise impair your movement.

The next thing you absolutely need is a good leveling spec. My mage leveling guide suggests the Frost tree when it comes to leveling a mage. Frost Mages can master the art of dealing AoE damage and kill mobs faster and easier.

A Frost Mage can bomb whole groups of mobs - that means that he can deal AoE damage to mobs that stand very close to each other. Leveling AoE style works like this: First you mount up, ride around and pull a lot of mobs. The next step is to ride around until the mobs all gather in one tight area. Now it’s easy to freeze them all with your Frost Nova. Blink away and use Blizzard and Cone of Cold to kill of all the mobs at once!

Every time you do this, you can easily kill off 10 mobs or even more. This is extremely mana-efficient and the talent build that my mage leveling guide recommends.

After choosing a race and talent spec you need the right gear. Either buy green items with intelligence and stamina at the auction house or visit instances. Of course, the better equipment waits for you in the instances – especially spell damage which is most important – But you should only do this when you have a level 80 friend to accompany you.

But those problems with your gear will vanish as soon as you enter the outland. There are a lot of great items with crit strike chance and a lot of spell damage.

That’s my overview. My guide for beginners. Have lots of fun leveling your Frost Mage!

Leveling A WoW Mage With A Mage Leveling Guide

August 6th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

{Do you know this kind of situation? You know this situation:} You are searching for new quests with your WoW Mage and the quests are either too hard or give you too little experience.

You accept them anyway and your quest log is immediately overwhelmed. When you want to start, you actually don’t know where to start, which quest to begin with. So you just go out and give your best.

You kill a group of mobs to complete the quest, run back to the NPC and some follow up quest wants you to kill the same mobs again. That’s when WoW gets frustrating.

But the next quest is even worth. It sends you all around the world, takes forever to complete and what is your reward? A tiny bit of exp and gold. That’s what you call a junk-quest.

With a Mage leveling guide you can instantly eliminate all these problems and frustrations. It tells you the most efficient, most rewarding order in which you have to complete the quests – directly on your screen.

An ingame mage guide makes sure you never have to run in cycles, kill the same mob twice or visit the same area over and over. You can focus on the game and just enjoy playing your character while you follow the instructions directly in-game.

The guide even knows which quests are unrewarding and consists only of the most efficient quests that reward you with the highest xp/hour rate.

If you have ever struggled with a quest, had to visit the same area, the same NPC, the same group of mobs again and again and are tired of this frustration, I highly recommend you to take a look at an in-game leveling guide as soon as you can.

After all, there’s no reason to waste all of your time on boring leveling when you can enjoy the endgame content with your friends!

Mage Leveling Guide - Can You Level A Mage This Way?

July 23rd, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

When searching for a leveling guide today, you will find there is a lot of talk going on. Lots of player argue which one is the best mage leveling guide - and if you should use a leveling guide at all.

Some people think they actually destroy the gaming experience. By using a leveling guide to level up - in their opinion - you miss the story, the quest descriptions and lots of background information.

On the other hand, players that use such guides say that they have already leveled up their main character and don’t need to see everything again. These players simply want to ding 80 and start enjoying the endgame content. These players don’t want to spend days and weeks on leveling another character.

I can understand both types of players and their opinions.

I guess WoW would become a really strange game if all the players would use a mage leveling guide to rush through the world to get to the end game content.

Everyone would play on their own, not acting like human beings, ignoring the world around them. Kind of like commuters going to work in the morning.

But the fact that these add-ons aren’t banned by Blizzard shows that it’s not offensive to use them at all. In fact right now the game even rewards playing alone. There are few moments when you actually need to interact with other players.

In fact, would you rather give up playing World of WarCraft because you’re annoyed at how long it takes to level up? Or would you rather get through with it and enjoy the end game content?

Of course, Blizzard doesn’t want you to quit playing World of Warcraft - It’s a win-win situation. Keep playing and both yourself and Blizzard are happy. You can enjoy playing with your friends and guild mates and Blizzard can make some profits.

What I’m trying to say is… just enjoy playing WoW and don’t let other people influence you or your opinion on using a mage leveling guide. Let’s all play by the rules and get along, then we can all enjoy WoW to the fullest.

The Mage Leveling Guide For Fast Fire Mage Leveling

May 29th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Now, before taking a look at the build, I want to get one thing out of the way - the Frost spec vs Fire spec debate. The talent build that helps you the most really depends on your own preferences.

If you want the complex but efficient tactic, go for the frost build.

This mage leveling guide is for people who’d much rather focus on the fire tree.

If you’re not sure, which you prefer, have a go at both, fire and frost, and then stick to the one you think works better for you.

With this out of our way, let’s head over to the leveling spec itself.

This is the order in which I recommend you to spend your talent points:

  • 5 Points in Improved Fireball
  • 5 Points in Ignite
  • 1 Point in Pyroblast
  • 3 Points in World in Flames
  • 2 Points in Burning Determination
  • 3 Points in Improved Scorch
  • 3 Points in Master of Elements
  • 3 Points in Critical Mass
  • 5 Points in Fire Power
  • 1 Point in Combustion
  • 3 Points in Pyromaniac
  • 1 Point in Blast Wave
  • 2 Points in Molten Fury
  • 3 Points in Empowered Fire
  • 1 Point in Dragons Breath
  • 3 Points in Hot Streak
  • 1 Point in Firestarter
  • 5 Points in Burnout
  • 1 Point in Living Bomb

With the fire tree maxed out, invest in some more minor important fire talents and then get some Arcane to improve your crit chances.

  • 3 Points in Incineration
  • 1 Point in Fire Starter
  • 2 Points in Arcane Subtlety
  • 3 Points in Arcane Focus
  • 5 Points in Arcane Concentration
  • 3 Points in Spell Impact
  • 3 Points in Student of the Mind

The fire mage is for players who like the straight-forward method more than complex strategies. It’s straight forward hit-them-with-a-club style play.

Since a fire mage will not fight many mobs at the same time, he will get overwhelmed less often. This can indeed be helpful with mage leveling.

One more thing though:

Although you’re a fire mage, you shoud still use Arcane or Frost spells in situations when it makes sense. I like to view spells as tools and if the opportunity arises, I love to use Blink or Frost Nova to immobilize my foes and get away.

For fast leveling I recommend the following strategy:

First mount up and then pull 4-6 mobs then Frostnova them while getting some distance. Then use all your AoE spells: Arcane Explosion, Blast Wave and Dragons Breath.

The Cataclysm dawns closer and closer and people all over Azeroth are forming groups to visit all the memorable places for a last time – before everything changes forever. This is the best time to level all your toon to lvl 80 and then sit back and relax - and enjoyy Azeroth while it still lasts.

You need to find a good balance.

If your goal is to get your toons to level 80 before the landscape changes and your mage leveling guide becomes obsolete for a while, I urge you to hurry up and finish the job. Then you can relax and visit the beautiful world with everyone before things turn to ashes and ruins.

If you love Azeroth like I do, take some time to join some nostalgia raids or visit cool instances with your friends and take memorable screen shots.

No one knows what the Cataclysm will be like.

These are the action stept that you should rush through before the Cataclysm hits:

#2 – Remember to make screen captures

Even if it’s just for you. I love screenshots of cool moments in games. No matter if you want to have them for yourself or submit them to WoW sites on the net. I’m pretty sure WoW.com and co. will have lots of galleries up with pics from before the Cataclysm.

Mage – The Elements of Magic

October 28th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Mages are casting damage dealers that use mana to cast their spells. They use different types of spells to deal damage like Arcane, Fire and Frost, and their popular spells are Frost/fire Bolts and Arcane missiles.

The Mage class can be chosen by the Gnome, Draenei and Human races of the Alliance and by the Troll, Undead and Blood Elf races of the Horde. The Mage class is a very nice and playful class and is always welcomed in PvP arena teams and in raid/instance groups. A Mage can cast several buffs but the most important buff for any party or raid is definitely the Arcane Brilliance buff which increases Intellect . The Intellect buff is not the only reason why Mages are popular. Click here to watch the video WoW Mage Leveling Guide

A mage can create food and water for himself and other players which is a gold savior since in any other way you will need to purchase it from a vendor. These consumables restore both mana and hit points. Another thing mages have is the ability to Polymorph Beasts and Humanoids which is why they are also a need in fights with more than one mob. Nowadays there is a lot of tank and spank fights which are fairly easy but nevertheless, crowd control Mages possess, is always welcome.

With all these useful abilities and buffs Mages have at hand, they have become one of the ultimate classes in WoW when it comes to popularity but still, what makes them good is their abilities to deal damage. His spells are based on Arcane, Fire and Frost damage. Spells like Blizzard, Flame Strike, Arcane Explosion, Cone of Cold and other damaging spells do damage on multiple mobs and can place a Mage on top of the damage meters. He also possesses AoE spells like Arcane Explosion, Blizzard, Cone of Cold and Flame Strike which cause quite nice amount of damage to multiple enemies and also contribute to the overall amount of damage Mage does in a raid. Through time the Arcane talent tree became more popular and better. If you would like more information on WoW guides check out one of our popular guides here: Ultimate WoW Guide Review

Before there were hardly any Mages with an Arcane spec and this spec was usually combined with either Frost or Fire, but nowadays it is a great spec for both PvP and PvE Mages. With quite a few damaging spells taken up in the tree and a lot of talents that increase the critical strike rating of the Mage, Fire is definitely a great choice for Mages that just want to get the most damage out of their Mage. The Frost talent tree is a great talent tree if one enjoys to PvP. The Fire build gives Mages a few very strong damaging spells and a critical strike rating increase, so if you are looking for pure, mostly single target damage, Fire is definitely the perfect choice for your Mage.

If you like to PvP more than PvE then the Frost talent tree would be suitable for you. This talent tree will offer you many spells with the burst damage, crowd control spells like Slow, and it will also grant you a protective shield. This. With Frost, you will be able to stun players, summon a special Water Elemental to assist you in a fight which all is quite useful for PvP and it can prove to be fun in PvE as well. If you follow the talent build you will find out that the tree can provide you with burst damage and yet give you protective shield and slow your targets a lot.

In time, by changing and combining all of the three talent builds you will surely find the perfect build to suit your character and you will become one of the best damage dealers in PvP and PvE.
