You may think that it will be easy to create a top ten list of games but this is actually harder than it sounds. I had decided to create a list like this recently and found out just how hard it can be. Instead of it taking the few minutes that I thought it would take, it ended up taking hours. Anyway this effort wasn’t all wasted as I found an easier way to create a top 10 list of games in fact you can use this technique for any top 10 list you like.

- You need to do a bit of brainstorming and write down the names of all the games you can remember playing. You will probably get to a point where you think you have written down the name of every game that you have played but you will more than likely keep thinking of other games as you go on; this is not a problem though. At this stage, there is no need to try to put any kind of order on the games.

- Have a look at the name of each game you have written down and then give them all a mark out of ten. I found that the number that first entered my head was usually the fairest one and debating it afterwards just used up time. Once you have given each game a mark, you can change some of these if you want.

- Because it is highly likely that you will have given a few games the same number you are probably going to have more than ten games in your list of top games to start with.

- Once you have narrowed down the games to the top ten, you can have a look to see how you feel about where they are positioned in this list and then you can move them around it you wish. If you have more than 10 games you will need to choose those that are going to be eliminated from your list.
