In the lower left corner of your screen, look at the fuel gauge and watch as it gradually empties as you use your vehicle. You have sufficient fuel to plow 150 squares of field. When you don’t have fuel anymore, you are left with two choices. You can either spend Farm cash to buy refills or just wait 6.5 hours for your fuel tank to fill-up entirely.

Buying the most refills is the best bargain because you’re only paying .33 Farm Cash for every refill. If you are going to go this way, you might as well make the big investment and get the greatest possible return. On the other hand, you can just wait for your fuel tank to completely refill if you’re feeling frugal. You have to plan if you have multiple crops going at the same time, so that your fuel tank has time to refill completely for the next harvest.
