The Nintendo Wii revolution continues using the pending launch of the fresh Wii Fitness products since announced at this year’s E3 2007.  This brand new product from Nintendo, called Wii Well, will take the form of a balance board controller accessory and a bundled use game.

The Wii Fitness products take off from where Wii Sports started by introducing active-play games that are not just great fun to play, but also great practice since fit. Inside reality the Wii balance board brings exercise and fitness for the whole body. The software and balance board is aimed at a large array of exercise based fun, including dancing, aerobics, balancing, and of course games.

The Wii Well software uses the balance board to compile data in order to plan your fitness progress higher than a time of period. The software’s fitness measurement system be able to collect data about an individual in order to keep track of their fitness goals. The fitness readings are presented inside the way of a graph that measures your body mass index (BMI) and will adapt your Mii character accordingly. The Mii character is a animated character that represents an individual player’s physique, so it’s worthy to enter your stats correctly for accurate progress analysis.

Once your personal settings are calibrated, you can then start to have fun playing the fitness mini games.  One of the most fun Wii Fitness games looks like the football heading game, inside which the players are required to move their heads in the exact direction to head the oncoming balls. Other mini games include doing hula hoops by shaking your hips and a marble madness style game where your balance is key to winning.  The extra serious fitness style games include doing strenuous balancing exercises, press-ups, and yoga.

The release date has always not been announced and neither has the price, but the price is rumoured to be in the size of $49 to $69.  What the fresh Nintendo Wii Fitness goods will hopefully bring is a full new line up of interactive games. Who knows yet, but I can already imagine the likes of skiing, snowboarding, skate boarding, and so on.  Perhaps these future games may perhaps be used inside conjunction using the Wii remote for a full interactive experience?

Whatever happens next, the Nintendo Wii and the fresh Wii Fitness range are taking the console to a fresh level that the likes of Microsoft and Sony will find tough to match, especially at Nintendo’s affordable prices.

Focus on the PlayStation Eye

August 27th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

Just recently, at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo conference, Sony presented what they call the Sony Playstation Eye. Sound familiar? You may be thinking of Sony’s EyeToy, a feature used on the Playstation 2 that allowed for the realisation of the real time activities of the player. The Eye expands on this notion in some extremely impressive ways, but they are not wholly new ones. That being said, it is very difficult to know just to what extent this feature will actually influence the world of gaming, if it can.

If you didn’t see E3, one of the leading uses of  Sony Playstation Eye is the motion sensing. How this sensing is accomplished is via the recognition of the glowing orb at the edge of the remote distributed for the Eye. Sony’s designers moved forward to offer a live performance of the Playstation Eye’s capabilities, using the remote to function with a 3D interface inside the TV screen and demonstrating exactly how the equipmentcould be added to games like first-person shooters, real-time strategy, and even action. All movement the gamer creates with the remote is mirrored onscreen with 1:1 accuracy.

Once again, does not that sound somewhat familiar? At the previous E3, Nintendo accomplished the very same thing with their Wii Motion Plus peripheral. It too captures and replicates movements at 1 to 1 accuracy. The single significant disparity amid the two peripherals is that the Sony Playstation Eye asks an updated version of their EyeToy camera to follow the remotes, but Nintendo’s Wii Motion Plus attaches to to an unseen sensor bar without cables. If anything, Sony’s newest attempt could be less advanced next to last year’s Nintendo technology.

Though following in the footsteps of readily available features, the Eye remains an excellent offering of hardware that’s guarenteed to excite many owners of the PlayStation 3. Although it cannot significantly change the realm of gaming completely, the Sony Playstation Eye accomplishes a lot for Sony’s empire, and will perhaps assist the developers catch up in regard to innovation.

The PSP2 Games Likely To Be Revealed At The Forthcoming E3

July 9th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in copy playstation games

All gaming addicts are eagerly awaiting the Electronic Entertainment Expo otherwise called E3. This event has always prided itself on maintaining a veil of secrecy. This year is likely to be no different than any other.

On the other hand, the gossip is all over the internet with the possibility of a new PSP2. The brand new style will potentially have the PSP body separated into two, just like your mobile phone. When you slide the two bodies of the console apart you will reveal the control buttons. Hence, the gadget would be lighter and, potentially smaller.

This would make a lot of sense since the corporation has a habit of slimming down all their products. In reality, they are expected to reveal a slim Playstation 3. Maybe they will call this new version the PSP slide or the iPSP.

This new type is not likely to support the old UMD format. It could be UMD-less. Therefore, it would appear that UMD has ended. Games, like Patapon2, are now downloads only for the PSP and, hence, the games market appears to be heading in this direction.

So, how will you get your games for this new PSP? Well, through downloads, with Sony potentially ready to launch a range of approximately 100 classic and new titles available to download.

Of course, many of us gamers have been ahead of the curve, downloading our PSP games from the internet. As a PSP addict, I’ve been downloading and playing PSP games from this website. Click here to see if you've seen this website.

The list of new PSP games likely to be launched at the E3 are as follows:Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Two, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Hannah Montana: Rock Out the Show, Army of Two: The 40th Day, Madden NFL 10, NCAA Football 10, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, Warriors Orochi 2, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo Three.

I’m sure these games will appear on download sites pretty soon.
