Trees in Facebook’s Farmville
08.February, 2010
There are 3 basic groups Farmville crops: Animals, Trees, and Regular Crops which you need to plant. This particular article only deals with trees. If you would like to obtain further information about the other two crops, visit their respective articles.
The trees do not rot unlike the seed crops which rot. A tree will grow up if you place it on your farm. You don’t have to harvest the tree immediately, you can harvest whenever you feel like it. You can use the trees as decorations to beautify your farm. Trees only receive a small profit, making it one of the drawbacks of growing trees. A tree can be bought for 400 coins, and you will only make approximately 20-80 coins for very harvest. You can simply wait til you get trees as gifts from other people. As an alternative, you can ask for a certain tree that is available via the free gift system by putting a sign post on your farm.Furthermore bear in mind that trees take many days to grow up. You will not earn a lot just by growing trees.
When you’re selecting your trees, take a moment to reflect on your Farmville goals. Are you playing this game to see just how many coins you can make in a very short time? Do not grow trees if that is your goal. Plant berries instead and watch your balance increase greatly. They’re an excellent option if you’re going to use the trees for decorative purposes and you if you are not in a rush to earn coins.
Farmers who leave Farmville for extended periods of time and then come back to it (e.g. a few days or weeks) will also like trees and animals. Both trees and animals can patiently wait to be harvested—seed crops can’t. Planning wisely will save you time as you never have to delete a whole farm of rotten plants!
