Why Games Controllers May Matter More Than The Games Console

We are all familiar with the big three video games systems currently available in the stores. We usually compare the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii and decide which is best based on graphics ability but it is also important to think about the involvement you feel by using the controllers supplied.

We may not think a lot about controllers but there are peaople who spend their lives designing them and here we look at how they compare. The Xbox first appeared back in 2001 and it came with the controller referred to as the duke controller.

Unfortunately for Microsoft customers found the Duke was far too large and bulky and so people didn’t like to use it. Very quickly they changed the controller for a different design which was more acceptable to the public and is more like the one now used in the Xbox 360.

The controller they supply now is probably the most comfortable and one which you are happy to play with. Meanwhile the controller for the Playstation may appear newer but my not be quite so new as it might look.

There are not that many changes from the the PS2’s having had a few internal modifications. The original PS3 controller appeared very different but it’s altered layout wasn’t a great success and soon disappeared.

The talk is that the controller didn’t work as well as the time-tested PS2 one. There is little doubt they came right in the end but they need to be sure to get it just right when they release their next games platform.

The PS3 controller does an adequate job but a new system will mean people expect high standards from their games and their controllers in future. Businesses are struggling right now so it may be a while so we may have to be patient to get what we want.

Finally we look at the controllers we get with the Wii games system and these have introduced a lot of new people to games consoles. The wii bundle comes with a wiimote and this being very different is nothing like everything you thought you knew about games controls.

The wiimote is more innovative than anything we had seen before or had thought about as ways of how we could control the games we like to play. Bring out the motion sensing controller is more revolutionary than all the other games console improvements since the earliest days of computer games.

We should be grateful for the wonderful way this technology has been developed and is being used to add to your enjoyment and it has the potential to take gaming to a whole new level. When the Wii bundles were first released hardened gamers dismissed the power of the computer chips inside but they failed to notice what a significant change the wii brought with it’s controllers.

It will be fascinating to discover anything different in the next round of new games console releases and what their and these are the most complete systems you can get. It seems likely they will be who knows what new features they might offer us and it seems likely we can only guess at the new developments and what they will do for gaming.

Top Games For Wii - Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl

When taking a lok at all of the gaming sites out there we noticed that Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl were consistently rated among the best and most recommended games.

Super Mario Galaxy has been rated as having incredible graphics and being highly addictive. No previous skills are required. New gamers are on the same playing field as skilled Nintendo lovers when playing this Mario game. It begins as classic Mario does, with Mario visiting Princess Peach, and her being kidnapped by Bowser. This time, Bowser has a UFO and they head into space. To save the princess, Mario has to head into space himself! The game is incredibly fun to play, and with fantastic graphics and a great soundtrack, Mario Galaxy has been ranked by many as the most fun Wii game so far.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl is classic Smash Brothers with incredible new features. For instance, you can have your friends play with you online, and there are tons of new characters that you can choose from. There is a total of 35 characters. 13 out of these 35 are hidden and must be unlocked. For the first time ever, the list of combatants includes non-Nintendo characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog! Each fighter has their own fighting style. The controls are really simple to use, and you can use the Wii Nunchuck and Remote, just the Remote alone, or even a Game Cube controller. No matter in which way you play, you are on one level playing field with all other players. So check out these two games, they are some of the very best on Wii!

Dugi’s Ultimate WoW Guide - Does it Deliver?

World of Warcraft strategy guides typically focus on just one aspect - character leveling, gold making, professions, or player vs player. The Ultimate Wow Guide includes all of those things in one place. There are a lot of guides out there that contain good strategies, but none of them are nearly as all encompassing as this is. In spite of it’s large size, the guide is always kept up to date with game patches and expansions.

Club Penguin Third Mission

Here’s a guide to the 3rd Club Penguin mission, called Case of the Missing Coins. In this third mission, have to do a lot of detective work to figure out how a huge pile of coins from the store disappeared!

  • Talk to the green penguin standing outside the vault.
  • Continue talking to him until he attempts to show you that the door was secure. He shows you by shutting the vault. It locks and he has forgotten the combination.
  • Go inside the office marked with the Staff Only sign.
  • Walk all the way to the right until you get to the couch.
  • Click under the couch.
  • Pick up the floppy disk and the paper clip and put them in your inventory.
  • Return to the computer. Place the floppy in the drive and turn the computer on.
  • Click on My Files.
  • Click on combination_number.
  • The combination is different every time you attempt the mission. Remember the numbers for NESW. These letters are compass directions (North, South, East, West) and will map to the combination on the safe.
  • Head down stairs and enter the combination into the safe.
  • Go into the vault.
  • Click on the pile of coins on the roof.
  • You will get a call on your secret agent phone. G asks you to meet him at the HQ.
  • Head back to HQ and speak with him.
  • Look at the video. Then go back to G.
  • Click on the drawer and pick up the gold key in the top left corner. If you want to decode the messages on the keys, the one in the top left is the one that is labeled correctly.
  • Go to the office in the gift store one more time.
  • Open the door to the roof with the key that you found in G’s drawer.
  • Open your spy phone and get the spanner.
  • Open the box with the spanner.
  • Put the paper clip in the box. It will cause it to short-circuit and shut the power off.
  • There is a piece of white fiber in the drain. Pick it up.
  • Go into the vault downstairs.
  • Click on the coins.
  • Go to Headquarters and give G the fiber that you found on the roof..
  • Go to the right. Pick up the flashlight under the map.
  • Go to the Town and talk to the brown penguin who is crying outside the night club.
  • Go in the night club and turn on the flashlight. If you have night vision goggles, then you can use those, too.
  • Head to the secret entrance to the boiler room. It is one of the loudspeakers towards the right.
  • Find the fuse box and click on it.
  • Examine the instructions that are inside of the fuse box.
  • You have to make all the lights green. Follow the instructions for this game. It can be a little challenging.
  • When you get the power on go inside the nightclub and talk to the brown penguin that was sobbing.
  • Go to HQ and talk to G.
  • Get the medal and a thank you card. You did it!

PS3 Gaming Chair

We tested the VisionRacer Gaming Seats (VR3’s) we bought head-to-head in our Demonstration Centre over the past 2 months so we can give an honest review of the system and experience, and we had a hard time keeping the staff off them! This ‘gaming revolution’ isn’t just another gaming chair, or gaming rocker - its the high end of gaming systems for the ultimate experience, combining playability and realism. Home entertainment is about the experience, and this is what VisionRacer delivers.

To really test the system, we installed the Logitech G25 steering wheel which delivers the ultimate in force feedback, and if you combine that with a good set of speakers to deliver the bass, then you have the ultimate machine. The VR3 is expensive - although it delivers the ultimate gaming seat experience. overall we woudl give VisionRacer the title of best gaming seat, with fanatec a close second. For optimal performance of this gaming seat, you really need a 24″ LCD Screen and a good set of speakers - we used Logitech or our testing. There is no point in using cheap speakers or a small LCD - you’ll need to invest in a good set. The VR3 is the ultimate gaming seat, so dont go cheap on the accessories. This gaming seat is in its element when you combine the right acoustics and visuals, so consider getting a professional installer involved. At Gaming Seat we can provide home installation, supply and support if required. Surprisingly even after playing for long time we were not aching, its a comfortable chair. The VisionRacer chair combines the best blend of being comfortable whilst being realistic. The effort and design that has gone into the VisionRacer is obvious, which is why the product is so good. The VisionRacer fitted with gear shift control and force feedback steering wheel is fantastic - a neccessary combination. The VisionRacer is currently under testing in a 3 Screen PC configuration running the G25 steering wheel (which is PC and PS3 Compatible). The steering wheel compatibility is important because hardware on the PC can be upgraded more easily than that of PS3’s - although its your choice at the end of the day. If you have young children, you’ll need a couple of cushions to shift them forward, though in all honesty, this isn’t a game for young children at this expense, its a serious investment for the die hard gamers. The VR3 is currently the top of our list at the moment - watch this space. The VisionRacer will do the Racing Game industry, what the Wii did to Console Games…its all good. Review of Joana’s WoW Leveling Guide

Is Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide for Real?

If you are looking for information on Joana’s horde leveling guide and you are concerned over the many websites asking if it is a scam, then you are not alone. The forums were exploding with gossip over whether ‘Joana’ was cheating due to the fantastic speed with which they were leveling! I hope to show you in this article that Joana’s is in fact a 100% legitimate player and that you will be amazed at what you will find in their members area.

When played the creators assume the role of either Mancow (the male character) or Joana (the female character). They basically show you how they managed to get to level 60 in a little under 5 days by recording the whole thing (with certain sections fast forwarded) so you can see exactly what they did. A Guide to Club Penguin Mission 1

Club Penguin Mission 1: Case of the Missing Puffles

The first mission in Club Penguin is called Case of the Missing Puffles. To do this mission, you have to assist Aunt Artctic, the columnist for the Penguin Times newspaper, solve the mystery of her missing puffles. Along the way, you will need assistance from G as you try hard to solve this mystery.

Here are the steps you need to finish the first mission in Club Penguin. It is easy to do and fun.

  • Speak with Aunt Artic.
  • Head to the Ice Rink, go to the right and get the pictures on the ground.
  • Return to Aunt Arctice and give her the pictures.
  • Next, go to the Pet Shop.
  • Turn left.
  • Look at the note that is attached to the puffle house.
  • The message will be different each time you do the mission.
  • The note always says “G has _ pairs of socks.” You need to figure out how many pairs he has for that mission, then go to the Sports Shop.
  • Talk to G. Ask him if he has any “Special items.” Tell him how many pairs of socks he has.
  • Grab the life preserver shooter. Go to the Ice Berg and save all the penguins that are stranded on a piece of ice. Save them by watching the speed of the wind and aiming the life preservers at them.
  • Now, go to the ski mountain. Speak with the crying penguin. Open your spy phone and click on the LED light. Click on the telescope to fix it.
  • Look through the telescope and move to the left. You will now see a green puffle flying around a mountain.
  • Go to the Sports Shop and get the grappling hook.
  • Go to the tallest mountain. Click at the top of the mountain.
  • You will find the two lost puffles.
  • Talk to Aunt Artic.
  • Get the medal and letter at the end of the mission.
